gabriel coco was already charged with two count of willful injury in the october 24th shooting. police say coco shot 18-year-olds justin phongsavanh and nickolas culver during an argument. authorities say the additional charge came after investigators looked at security video from the restaurant. a suspect is in custody after a chase that hit speeds of over 100 miles per hour. the madison county sheriff responded to reports of a suspicious vehicle in bevington around 10-30 this morning. he found 49-year-old randy barnes of adel in a truck behind storage sheds. the sheriff found out the truck was stolen...and a chase ensued through northern madison county. a dallas county office was able to put out stop sticks. the truck eventually stopped in a private driveway... where barnes surrendered. he is charged with theft and eluding. look for more on this story...coming up tonight at ten. officials are looking for the suspect who robbed a bank near merle hay mall. it happened around 10-30 at the bankers trust. police say the man didn't
display a weapon, but rather passed a note to the teller demanding cash. witnesses say the suspect is in his 30s...about 5-foot-7 and 200 pounds. he was reportedly wearing a gray hoodie and dark pants. if you have any information, contact des moines police. iowa officials now say a complicated suicide plot caused an explosion at a cedar falls hotel last month. authorities say 43-year-old pilot light on a gas appliance at the shady rest motel.... then lit a cigarette the next morning... causing the explosion. ferleman was hurt in the blast and died a short time later. a golf course clubhouse in eastern iowa burned to the ground overnight. crews responded to the amana o'clock this morning. firefighters believe the fire started in the pro-shop. multiple departments responded to provide extra water. there's no word yet as to how the fire started. the iowa department of agriculture says the quarantines have been lifted on all 72 infected by the bird
officials say all the sites have been cleaned, disinfected and have undergone a 21-day waiting period. there are still five backyard operations that are still under quarantine. those must undergo an 180 day waiting period before birds can be brought back to those locations. while its good news right now... expert say we aren't out of the clear just yet. bill northey, iowa secretary of agriculture. 2:21 everyone know that it's very very important to have full surveillance out right now to look for any birds that could possibly be impacted by the migration of wildbirds that could bring the disease back through 2:37 secretary northey says the migratory period will last for another month. the university of iowa says it's seeing an uptick in the number of mumps cases. officials say there's been more than 100 cases...and it's been on the rise in recent weeks. to prevent the spread, the school is offering a third dose of the vaccine. it's for students 25 and under who are at more of a risk than others. the school wants students to

the proposed 1-thousand-179-mile pipeline would have carried 800- thousand barrels of petroleum a day from canada to the gulf coast. kerry has concluded the project isn't in the country's national security interest...and the president agreed. obama gave three main reasons for the decision. "the pipeline would not make a meaningful long term contribution to our economy. the pipeline would not lower gas prices for american consumers..in fact gas prices have already been falling. shipping dirtier crude oil in our country would not increase america's energy security." the move comes as the white house continues to promote its environmental agenda and efforts to fight climate change. the keystone x-l pipeline could be one of the topics in a democratic forum tonight. hillary clinton, bernie sanders and martin o'malley are all participating. the 90-minute event will get underway at winthrop university in south carolina. the event will be live on m-s-n-b-c and moderated by rachel maddow.
